Monthly.gg allows users to authenticate using their Discord account via OAuth 2.0.

Authentication is implemented using the authentication library "better-auth".

4.1 Data We Receive from Discord

When you log in via Discord, we receive only the following data:

  • Discord username

  • Profile avatar

We do not receive:

  • Access to Discord messages
  • Access to Discord servers or communities
  • Access to contact lists
  • Permission to post, modify, or act on your behalf

We do not perform any automated actions on Discord accounts.

4.2 Purpose of Processing

The data received from Discord is used exclusively for:

  • User authentication
  • Creation and management of a user account
  • Preventing misuse or fraudulent access
  • Technical platform administration

The platform is currently in maintenance mode and provides limited functionality.

4.3 Legal Basis

Processing is based on:

  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures), and
  • Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent granted during OAuth authorization).
